A clinic differs from a medical office in one way that changes the whole contract: patient flow is continuous through the day and the rooms turn over constantly. Fitting the clean around the clinic day
- Decide what happens between patients and who does it. Room turnaround between patients is almost always clinical staff using the practice's own products, not the cleaning contractor. Saying so plainly separates the contract from the clinical routine and stops each assuming the other has it.
- Put the daytime presence on washrooms and waiting areas. A waiting room used continuously from eight until six cannot be maintained by an evening round alone. Where a clinic buys any daytime attendance, this is where it earns its cost, and it is usually a small number of hours.
- Specify the evening clean room by room. Consulting rooms, treatment rooms, minor procedure rooms and offices are different standards. Room counts by type with the treatment named per surface is what makes two clinic quotes comparable; a square footage figure is not.

- The standard is the same and the shape is not, because the building is occupied all day. Expect the daytime component to be the line that differs between two quotations.
